A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has exceeded one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on prevention through news european commission education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
The campaign is connected to broader humanitarian initiatives supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
